I have tried the plastic nails a few years ago and found that they did not pass thru and hold down materials in my MDF spoil board. Has there been a renovation to these guns and nails u sell so they penetrate these hard substrates? I would definitely purchase these guns and nails if they truly worked in these hard materials. Thank you

Hopefully we can help. For CNC hold down into MDF spoil boards, we always recommend our 15 gauge Finish Nails. Do you know which of our nails were being used? What was happening when you fired the nails? What type and how thick was the wood being held down?

Two guns were sent to me to try. I believe one of the guns was the 15 gauge. Neither of the guns would hold down properly in a wide variety of materials i tried. I sent both guns back to store.

We want to help resolve this for you, and see what the issues might be. Variables such as the thickness and hardness of the wood that is being held down, as well as nail length and air pressure to the nailer can play a part. If you want to contact us directly at info@raptornails.com with your information, we can pull your file and get on the same page, and hopefully offer a solution.
